CAMPUS MINISTERS RETREAT

We welcome Dr. David Roadcup as our 2012 CMR main speaker. David has been in the ministry for over 42 years, serving as a youth minister, senior minister, and professor. He currently serves as the Executive Director for Church Advancement and a professor at Cincinnati Christian University. He works in the areas of church growth and health, evangelism, spiritual formation, and leadership development. On top of that, he serves on the boards of several organizations that work to spread the message of Christ around the world. He and Karen, who is with him this week, have been married for 43 years.

David’s great passion is in discipling Christians and helping them grow to deeper levels in their personal walk with Jesus Christ. Our theme for this retreat is “Renew ” – focusing on the health and growth of our interior worlds. This is especially important as we finish up a year of ministry. Whether it has been a year of great success or a year of frustration (and over the years, we will all have both), we need to refill, feed, and strengthen our spirits, minds, and emotions. We are also excited that David Lasley, who serves on the University of Illinois at Springfield campus, will be serving as our worship leader.
