Nik and Ruth Ripken, The Insanity of God Saturday Night after the Main Session
When Nik Ripken and his family served in East Africa, they saw unimaginable persecution towards Christians and a generation of believers wiped out. It left them with incredible discouragement and questions like, “Can the Gospel thrive in the midst of such evil?” “How do you maintain hope when darkness is all around you?” These experiences sent the Ripkens on a journey to interview Christians who have lived through persecution in the most dangerous countries in the world. The sobering and insightful stories of the remarkable people of faith will serve as a powerful course of revelation and challenge for anyone who wants to know whether God truly is enough. This is a strategic opportunity for college students to learn from people who have witnessed what it is like to persevere through unimaginable hardships, and see Jesus as the truly greatest treasure we have.
